While browsing through our articles, specials, and sales, you may have noticed a small button beneath each entry titled “Share/Save.” Some may be familiar with these, as many sites use them. Why might one want to use this? There are a variety of reasons, but here are a few. When planning a voyage, particularly one involving a few people, information is often relayed between those planning the voyage. This area is reserved for anybody viewing this site to publicly share their thoughts regarding the subject at hand or view other user’s input, discuss a relevant cruising experience, or simply leave a comment or reply. American Way Cruise Vacations may add a comment or reply to the area every once in a while (particularly if there seems to be ongoing questions regarding a topic we feel we can answer) but for the most part it is a user generated area of the site. Regarding posting questions on this section, that is of course acceptable, as other users can be very helpful with many topics. However, we urge all those with very specific and/or personal questions regarding their specific voyage to contact American Way Cruise Vacation staff, as we may be better able to assist you.

What we consider unacceptable posts….
In most cases a post (something left in the “Comment/Reply” field or any other section of the website in which users can contribute) is considered unacceptable when it is clearly “spam”. Voyage Wire, much like many other websites, receives spam on a frequent basis. We try our best to combat Spam postings while also allowing genuine users to contribute freely.

Very common spam postings may include a post with a very generic and non-specific message, such as, “great site” or something along those lines. This would be fine except these posts are often accompanied by a variety of links to irrelevant or unsavory websites (supposed discount prescription websites of questionable nature are common.)

Because of this, posts are often sent for approval before being displayed on Voyage Wire.

We do not necessarily oppose putting links inside posts, in fact we often welcome them. Posting links can often provide other users with helpful and interesting information. Please, however, only add relevant links.
